EZ-Purge is a patented modular system that reduces purging time of 3⁄4" to 8" pipes to below 2 minutes.
The basic spinal unit which connects the entrance and exhaust silicone discs is available in 2 sizes. The small size can be used with discs from 3⁄4" to 2", the larger basic unit is used with silicone discs from 2" to 8". The basic spinal units withstand temperatures of up to 450°C and can be supplied in different lengths to avoid scorching and damage to the silicone discs if welding with a gap.
The unique design of the silicone discs or balls guarantees an air tight seal every time. The systems are easy to pull and position within the pipe. Once positioned, inert shielding gas is supplied to the purge volume between the silicone dams through the hole in the entrance disc. Atmospheric air including oxygen can escape through the 2 holes in the exhaust disc. This ensures a rapid replacement of oxygen with purge gas.
